Highgate cemetery is amazing. Bluebells everywhere, sunlight glinting through foliage onto little trails wandering off into undergrowth past collapsing tombstones. Very beautiful and rampantly unkempt.

Having abandoned the BBC as my homepage in favour of Al Jazeera shortly before the Arab Spring, I keep seeing footage of people who look just like my neighbours, complete with headscarves, throwing rocks at tanks and getting their legs blown off. So this blog is a bit visually preoccupied at present.

Here’s an elegant graphic from the World Medical Camp for Libya, created for a fundraising dinner recently. WMCL is a group of Libyans and Tunisians in Britain who have been proactively shipping medical supplies to Misrata. You can see the stuff sitting on quayside before it set off last week and send donations.
