    And underneath is detail from fabulous drawing by Thomas Rowlandson of a theatre in 1786. Reference for part of above job and the more I look at it the more I appreciate Rowlandson. Everyone has a personality and the picture is full of stories. Eg what is going on in lefthand, middle box?

    Just read Light for Visual Artists by Richard Yot. Heartily recommend it. Makes you go around noticing light. And appreciating physics.

    FYI I’ll be at Moseley Arts Market this Saturday, and Malvern Autumn Show on Sunday, and all next month — till 28 October in fact — some of my prints will be on display at Birmingham Botanical Gardens.
